Avblend is approved by the FAA for aircraft piston engines. Its been around for decades!
Here's what is does: Avblend will clean your engine by disolving carbon and other deposits that build up in high temperature air-cooled engines. This will help restore lost performance and efficiency.
When used in a new engine, it will prevent build up of deposits and reduce damage caused by "dry" starts. This will reduce the need for costly engine maintenance.
Instructions for use: Pour 1 can 12oz into a 4 cylinder engine (4 - 8 quart capacity) (operate for 30 minutes for best results)
Pour 2 cans 24 oz into a 6 - 8 cylinder engine ( 9 or more quart capacity) (operate for 30 minutes for best results)
Recommended Treatment Schedule: Every 25 flight hours or no less than 50 flight hours or 4 months for continuous protection.
Avblend also recommends oil analyisis every 100 hrs. Find oil analysis kits here.

Clean engine at TBO
I replaced a lycoming AEIO A1-B6 with a factory "zero time" because this was a good deal. I bore scoped the engine before I sent it back to Lycoming and it was as if brand new. I change the oil every 25 hours and use AVBlend at each change. This product seems to work for me!
