(2028) Comtronics AERO-PRO System (2028) - Ultra-Pro 2000 Helmets and DUAL-COM II Intercom Includes two ULTRA-PRO 2000 helmets and the DUAL-COM II intercom.
The ULTRA-PRO HP 2000 Helmet is one of the quietest helmets offered by Comtronics Engineering. This helmet incorporates a plush liner and our new ultra-soft chin pad design. These straps have elastic bands over the fitted ear cups creating a positive seal when tightening the chin strap. The helmet utilizes an extremely efficient ear muff which reduces the ambient noise to a more comfortable level. ULTRA-PRO 2000 helmets have high quality speakers and the latest state-of-the-art electret microphones, used by everyone in the industry, offering the highest voice quality . They are compatible with ULTRA-COM II Intercoms, DUAL-COM II Intercoms and radio interface cables. Helmet chin straps are available with "D" rings or quick-disconnect snaps. They are compatible with all Comtronics intercoms and radio interface cables. Each helmet comes with a black peak visor. Ultralight or General Aviation audio can be installed
Ear muffs are secured to a spring steel wire frame and can be adjusted up and down. The frame is attached to the inside surface of helmet shell. This arrangement provides a positive seal thereby reducing ambient noise caused by engine, propeller and air moving over the airframe.
Comtronics also has Gel/Foam Ear Seals which offer additional noise attenuation and really deliver that "WOW" factor!! Designed exclusively for Comtronics, they seal nicely around eyeglass arms without causing any pressure.
The ULTRA-PRO Model HP Helmet is also communication compatible. It has a unique feature in the shell and liner which offers a large central air channel technology vent system designed to flow a massive amount of air for cooling. It has an adjustable top vent and UV protective clear-coated paint.
All Comtronics helmets have a half inch semi-rigid foam liner and vents in front of helmet which also lets in cool air for summer flying.

The DUAL-COM II Intercom is a portable two-place unit designed for two-place aircraft and developed for high noise environments. This intercom has two separate volume controls which can be adjusted by either the pilot or passenger to meet individual hearing levels and integrates directly with all Comtronics headsets and helmets providing ar-to-air and air-to-ground communication.
It also has a toggle switch for Radio 1 and Radio 2. This switch allows pilots the option to transmit from either of two separate transceivers while monitoring both simultaneously. Since there are two isolated radio ports for use with two different hand-held radios, pilots can contact the ground crew on one transceiver while notifying a nearby airport on the other. All of this can be accomplished by using the switching circuitry provided.
Radio selection is controlled by one toggle switch located on front surface of box. Radio actuation is controlled by a single push-to-talk switch which may be mounted on the aircraft control stick.
This circuitry has also been designed with an automatic internal noise canceling feature which eliminates the bothersome "tweaking" to adjust background noise. Also included in the DUAL-COM II is a unique side-tone circuit that allows the user to hear his or her own voice assuring proper operation.
The aircraft-grade enclosure virtually eliminates all stray radio interference. Provisions for both a 9-volt battery and external power port are included. The power cord comes with a secure lock-ring and can either be stripped and tinned or terminated with a cigarette lighter plug.
A DUAL-COM II style interface cable is available for connection to Aircraft Radios, Motorola Radios, Marine Band Radios, 2-Meter Radios, FRS Radios, CB Radios, AM/FM Radios, Cell Phone Port, Music Port, iPod, iPhone, MP3 Players and Camcorders.
There are two slide switches mounted on the circuit board next to the battery. These enable a pilot to mix and match microphones. One switch can be placed in the "E" position for Electret Microphones and the other switch can be placed in the "D" position for Dynamic Microphones.
This intercom can also be panel-mounted using a DUAL-COM II FacePlate.
